OUR PROCESS

Andrew Jaynes are skilled craftsmen in every aspect of window replacement and installation

MADE TO MEASURE

Our services start with the design and carefully considering what materials are right for the project. We focus on Accoya but do offer alternative, cost-effective timbers if developers prefer.

Typically, a homeowner requiring our full ‘measure, make and fit’ service will provide us with some emailed photos, accompanied by rough sizes – Exact dimensions are not a requirement to initially produce a price as modest size variations do not impact the cost too significantly. We can also use online resources such as Google streetview and property details on Zoopla to help assess the scope of work. Our experience means we are able to produce a quote or estimate from whatever information you have.

The majority of our trade customers use our supply only service and provide us with their own window sizes and specifications.

We provide clear itemised, fixed price quotations so that there are no hidden surprises, and we will aim to turn your quotation around in a matter of days. As we are invariably always busy we give an indicated delivery lead time on the quotation which is dependant upon our current workload.

We encourage prospective customers to visit our premises, as nothing tells you more about how a company operates. And we also conduct a voluntary customer reference scheme, where you can see installed examples of our work.

When you are ready to proceed with your window replacement and installation, the job is confirmed in writing, the deposit is paid, and your job is entered on to our scheduling software from which point the delivery lead time starts counting down. The production schedule is networked to all departments in the factory, and this fully integrated system is one of the keys to our consistently met deadlines.

For supply and install jobs, we carry out a full manufacture survey that determines the final size of the windows, the installation procedure, and details of any ancillaries that may be required such as window boards or architraves.
The survey takes place after the order is confirmed, as this results in an earlier delivery date, but it can equally take place before, as best suits the project. The survey is carried out by the Job Manager who is your point of contact throughout the process.

Once sizes are finalized, pre-production preparations are made, materials are ordered, and the manufacture process begins. We then contact you to agree a convenient delivery / installation date, and go through any final arrangements such as order of fit / parking etc.

INSTALLATION

We use our own directly employed installation teams, in addition to partnering closely with select independent installers.

On arrival the installation team leader will discuss the days work and anticipated plans for the following day.
The installation team will carefully protect the working area and immediate surrounds with dust sheets, and will clear up regularly throughout the day and at the end of each day.

The job manager will visit during the installation and will carry out a final inspection to sign off the job.
