Correct installation practice is critical to the functioning and lifespan of any window or door. Many associated problems arise through poor fitting practice. In particular, installing into old buildings can be a delicate procedure, requiring a good deal of care and thought.
We understand that having strangers carrying out work in your home can be quite invasive. Our highly experienced installers are directly employed by us (not subcontracted) and take care to treat you and your property with courtesy and respect. We turn up when we say we will; Spend the time it takes to protect your carpets with clean dust sheets: Vacuum up each day before leaving; And remove all our rubbish. Broadly speaking, there are two phases to the installation process. The first is the Functional phase, which is fixing and sealing in place the door or window, and ensuring that everything operates correctly and is weather proof. The second is the Cosmetic phase, which covers all the elements that are regarded as decorative, such as; window boards; reveal linings; architraves and making good to plasterwork etc. We can offer ‘Complete Installation’, which covers both phases, and is appropriate for Replacement projects. Or we can offer a reduced cost ‘Functional Installation’, which is suited to new builds, and for projects where internal finishing is to be carried out by others.
We also offer a Supply Only service for customers wishing to arrange their own installation.
