The ideal way give a feeling of light and space to a room. French doors, with full height glazing are offered in a variety of styles from single pane, to multiple glazing bars, inward or outward opening.

We offer as standard the superior performance of multipoint locks which we fit to both door leaves. Each door leaf locking independently into the frame. As this is all operated from the handle, it eliminates the need  for separate surface mounted bolts. We are also happy to supply doors with classical door hardware such as mortice locks and surface bolts upon request.

Factory finishing is a recommended option on all doors for the benefits its offers on lifespan, convenience and finish quality.

Like the rest of our range, our french doors incorporate our design details for improved weather resistance and longevity, such as internal glazing rebates, twin comb jointing and full draught sealing. Whilst the draught sealing of a single door is quite straight forward, the same is not true of double doors. Our doors have been installed in some very exposed locations where they remain completely sealed.

Glazing in all instances will be safety glass either toughened or laminated. Single glass may be specified for listed buildings, but in all other situations a minimum specification of 24mm Pilkington K toughened  double glazed units will be required. This can be upgraded with the addition of argon or krypton gas fill.
