Bi-Folding doors. Folding sliding doors.

These types of doorsets are the ideal means to open up large areas of a room to the outside.

Bi folding doors are paired doors ( can be a single pair or a twin pair ) that are hinged to each other as well as to the frame. In their simplest form the doors rely solely on hinges as their means of opening, however they can also accomodate a running track along the head and sill of the frame to control the movement. In this configuration, they can also be refered to as a type of folding sliding door.

Folding / sliding doorsets generally have a minimum of 3 door leaves hinged to each other in addition to being hinged to the frame. Every second leaf is connected to a running track by a trolley hanger ( in top hung arrangements) or a trolley pivot ( for bottom rolling arrangements ) which allows the door leaves to fold up in a concertina fashion.
